Gifted and Talented
The Gifted & Talented students consist of 27 students from 1st to 8th grades. As far as a requirement to be in the Gifted Program, our students come to the Gifted and Talented classroom to participate in leadership activities. They plan projects that will benefit the environment and the members of the school and community. They accumulate hours of service that can also benefit their qualifications for National Junior Honor Society.
– In February, the GT students made Valentine gifts/treats, and delivered them elders at the Senior Citizen Center at Lukachukai Chapter. The elders were grateful for the gifts of appreciation they received on Valentine’s Day.
– In March, the seventh and eighth graders read to students in the primary grade level. They gained experience in leading a small group reading and discussion activity with younger children.
Our GT students thrive in their education, and the service projects they participate in, gives them the opportunity to help others and to be well-mannered citizens of our community.
